This piece is an abstract painting of a piano. I was influenced by Cubism and was working on abstraction. I focused on using value and shape to define the structure of the piano which makes up the composition.
This is a really interesting piece--the composition is really strong and I love how you can kind of see the piano keys at the bottom. Very expressive and well thought out. Perhaps you could work a bit more with the shapes at the top to suggest the shape of a piano..but I really like this!!
